Panther National

C&R was hired in January 2022 to lead a strategic campaign for Panther National’s grand opening campaign, which began with a groundbreaking in February 2022. The goal was to generate high-visibility, exclusive media placements to announce the development in top tier national outlets, speaking to the vision of Panther National as both a premiere, private golf club and innovative, luxury estate community. C&R secured impactful, national press exclusives with both GOLF Magazine and CNBC to drive initial buzz and excitement, resulting in 240 qualified reservations for custom estate homes and home sites prior to the release of the first sales phase.

Beyond groundbreaking, C&R works closely with Panther National with to showcase the project’s continued momentum and drive third party credibility for the development. C&R has generated ongoing buyer interest and continues to instill confidence in owners and prospects alike. Tactics included announcing timely milestones, such as sales successes and new executive hires; tapping into the development’s notable names, including Justin Thomas, Jack Nicklaus, Mike Collins, and Dominik Senn; developing story angles highlighting the first-time collaboration between Thomas and Nicklaus; celebrating Max Strang’s award-winning sustainably driven architecture, and more. Over the course of 18 months, Panther National has sold more than $270 million in estate homes and custom home sites.

Throughout the partnership, C&R has secured targeted coverage for Panther National in outlets such as Barron’s Penta, Robb Report, Golf Digest, Golfweek, LINKS Magazine, and Golf Pass, in addition to high impact local and regional coverage with outlets including Palm Beach Post, Modern Luxury Palm Beach, South Florida Business Journal, and South Florida Business and Wealth.

Punta Mita

C&R is a long-standing partner of Punta Mita, the luxurious resort in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. One of our core focus areas of the destination is its celebrated golf offerings with Punta Mita boasting two spectacular, Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses. Although the courses were first opened for play in 1999 and 2009, we were recently tasked with delivering newsworthy messaging about Punta Mita Golf Club’s five-phase renovation, which included updates to each course, magnifying the impact of its new clubhouse (currently under development) and hosting A-list writers throughout the year to make sure the destination is top of mind for travelers planning upcoming golf trips.

In addition, Punta Mita hosts golf events throughout the year including Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf. C&R builds a strategic plan each year to host select media to attend which has resulted in the destination, golf course and event being featured in A-list publications such as Robb Report, Forbes, Travel + Leisure as well as major golf media such as GOLF Magazine, Golf Digest and Golfweek. 

Already home to the Four Seasons Punta Mita and St. Regis Punta Mita, C&R was tasked by the destination to secure select A-list coverage about the announcement of two additional luxury hotels, Montage and Pendry, coming to the 1,500-acre resort in 2026. Our strategic outreach also focuses on real estate and have secured placements in target outlets such as Mansion Global, Robb Report and Bloomberg.

Mayakoba

A more than 10-year partner of C&R, Mayakoba made a strategic decision to switch from hosting the PGA TOUR’s World Wide Technology Championship to LIV Golf Mayakoba (the first LIV Golf event of the 2023 season) shortly after the WWTC in 2022. C&R was tasked with managing the media outreach surrounding the professional golf tournament, specifically to highlight why Mayakoba decided to start this new endeavor. 

Leading up to the formal announcement, first reported by Golfweek, the general press about LIV Golf place in the sport was negative. C&R used a strategic approach with our robust list of golf writers and secured select interviews for RLH Properties’ CEO, Borja Escalada, to speak on the topic. The outlets included The New York Times, Sports Illustrated and Golfweek. The result and messaging of each subsequent piece placed Mayakoba as an innovator of golf in Mexico by highlighting their commitment to growing the game of golf in their home country.

With golf at Maykoba being a cornerstone of our partnership with the destination which boasts four luxury hotels, its golf course, El Camaleón, is frequently the spotlight of desirable golf travel features. C&R has secured this specific coverage in all major golf media outlets as well as top travel publications such as Forbes, Travel + Leisure and Forbes.

Berenberg Invitational

In addition to a six-year partnership representing legendary golfer Gary Player at the four Major golf events (the Masters, U.S. Open, The Open Championship, PGA Championship), C&R has managed the media outreach efforts for the Berenberg Invitational, a celebrated professional golf event formerly known as the Berenberg Gary Player Invitational, since 2015. The event takes place annually in the fall at GlenArbor Golf Club in New York.

Each year, C&R secured a variety of A-list media coverage across business, lifestyle and golf publications including CNBC, The Wall Street Journal and GOLF Magazine, among others across broadcast, print, digital and social media. Berenberg, the world’s oldest private bank, had recently opened an investment banking office in New York City, so the strategic coverage in the A-list outlets proved beneficial to this new undertaking. The tournament’s coverage also highlighted its ambassadors, including legendary golfers Gary Player, Tom Watson and Fred Couples, as well as the beneficiary of the event, most recently the University of Nebraska Medical Center, by raising awareness about its efforts in the fight against pancreatic cancer. 

Additional coverage for Mr. Player over the years includes influential business, lifestyle and travel outlets, such as ESPN The Magazine Body Issue, CNBC Squawk Box, Travel + Leisure, Charlie Rose, Men’s Journal, Travel + Leisure, Bloomberg TV, Fox Business, Forbes, Fortune and Robb Report. We also arranged for Mr. Player to speak at WORTH Magazine’s Worth Conversations Summit in New York City.

Golf Course Openings/Rankings Panels

C&R has been charged with introducing some of the top private courses in the country from acclaimed designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Tom Weiskopf, and Gary Player. We have leveraged our more than 30 years of combined experience with the golf media to personally—and successfully—court and secure visits from lead panelists at Golf Digest, GOLF, Golfweek, LINKS, etc.

Notably, C&R successfully introduced the Gary Player designed course, The Cliffs at Mountain Park in Greenville, SC. During a one-year period, we secured decision makers from Golf Digest, GOLF, Golfweek and other top golf media. The course was named Best New Private Course in GOLF, a top new private in Golf Digest, Best of the Best in Robb Report and a feature story and recognition as one of America’s Top 100 Modern courses in Golfweek.

Recently, Clear Creek Tahoe, a private luxury lifestyle community was keen to boost their course’s presence in the acclaimed Golf Digest bi-annual rankings. C&R launched a two-year campaign specifically focused on facilitating golf media and rater visits to secure the required number of rankings for inclusion. After opening in 2009, Clear Creek Tahoe made its long-awaited debut in Golf Digest’s America’s Greatest Second 100 Greatest Courses in 2023.
